Hardee's Brings the Heat With the Return of the Jalapeno Thickburger

Consumer Demand Prompts Return of the Popular Thickburger

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 14 -- In response to the rapidly growing trend in America towards spicier cuisine, Hardee's first introduced the Jalapeno Thickburger in August 2006. Ever since the limited-time offer menu item was deleted later that same year, consumers have been e-mailing the fast-food chain to request its return so, today, Hardee's(R) is bringing back the Jalapeno Thickburger(TM).

"The Jalapeno Thickburger really brings the heat with a generous helping of jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and a creamy yet zesty Santa Fe sauce," said Brad Haley, Hardee's executive vice president of marketing. "Like many of our guests, I have missed that memorable combination of flavors that is unlike any other mainstream fast-food burger out there, so I'm very glad to be able to announce its return."

The Jalapeno Thickburger features a charbroiled 1/3-pound, 100 percent Black Angus beef patty topped with sliced jalapeno peppers, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and Santa Fe sauce on a seeded bun. The Jalapeno Thickburger will be sold at participating Hardee's restaurants for $3.49 by itself, or $5.78 for a medium combo meal.  Prices may vary.
